  1. Esquire is really the only play… Not to be confused with or classified amongst such boyish rags as GQ, Esquire magazine is the broadest sweeping ode to the American man we have in periodical print. In no other magazine will you find the compendium of practical information, raw investigative journalism, summation of one(usually prolific) man’s life lessons (See ‘What I’ve Learned- every issue ever), a great work of short fiction, thoughts on life, money sex, work, kids, politics, etc… and even what one might wear if one was a narrower, Ryan what’s-his-face type fellow instead of a 5’7 275lb man-bear. It’s hard to cram into a short review what they cram into an issue of Esquire and even harder to explain how others just fall short, but for my money, if you had to subscribe to just one, this is it.

  2. Not what I expected. I find that about 10 % of the content actually relates to the common person. Girly men fashion models are strange looking and in need of a Big Mac. This is supposed to make their clothes more appealing ? Yikes. It was the easiest way to use a magazine gift card. Guess next time Ill be more selective.
